A giant footprint has been spotted on Sanymount Strand in Dublin today that has plenty of passers by wondering what's going on.

The 30m wide footprint could be spotted pretty clearly on the beach, and will likely be the topic of much conversation with people headed out and about to get some sun today, but there's no need to panic, as we have not been invaded by giants or aliens with really big feet.

It seems that the whole thing is a bit of a publicity stunt to mark the relaunch of Ireland's favourite '80s ice cream, the Freaky Foot by HB.

The ice cream is back in shops around the country this week, as HB felt there was overwhelming popular demand for it to return to our lives. It will be sold at an RRP of €1 too, in case you fancy a pocket-friendly treat in the warm weather.
