Alright, we know it's Monday and that no one is truly thrilled about that fact, but let this stunning video take your mind off things for a few minutes.

From 230 miles up, we can only imagine that all our problems would seem insignificant. While we can't quite get there, we can watch this breathtaking timelapse of our planet in all its majesty and glory from above, as the International Space Station orbits our home.

From the lights of the big cities to the thunder storms and the Northern Lights, there is some pretty special footage in here that will totally absorb you for at least a few minutes. The compilation was put together by Selmes Films and is made up of footage captured by NASA, and actual recording of astronauts and cosmonauts who are communicating with ground control.

Although this was uploaded a while back, it surfaced on our radar today, and once we finished watching it on a loop for about an hour we decided we had to share it. Added to by the Hans Zimmer soundtrack, it's something that will definitely brighten up your Monday morning.
