The answer in the professional game is probably no, hit your man, and hit him hard. However, when you're a grown man in a mascot costume, you probably shouldn't apply the same rules when playing with kids.
Rocky, the mascot of the NBA's Denver Nuggets, was taking part in a mascot vs. Pop Warner game at Sports Authority Field in Denver, and let's just say he took things past an acceptable level of aggression when he upended this little kid.
While we're not condoning his actions, you have to love the commitment to stare the kids down afterwards, then do a victory dance. A1 mascoting right there.
