UCC athlete Phil Healy was described as having come 'from the depths of hell' to claim victory at the IUAA Women's 4x400m Relay Final over the weekend.

While some might call this a slight exaggeration, there's no denying she had to dig deeper than ever before to get the win for her team. UCC were in fifth place when Healy entered the fray and it looked like fourth place was the best they could hope for. However Healy found the strength to push herself and as the legs of those ahead of her weakened, she made her move.

Jump ahead to the 3 minute mark to see Healy's incredible comeback.

Healy fell to the ground with exhaustion after the race but as she acknowledged herself after, it was worth the few grazes to get the win.
