Zooming around on a bike at high speeds in hot weather can leave anyone with a short fuse, including professional cyclists. 

The Volta a Portugal was in its sixth stage yesterday when two cyclists helped it to make headlines for all the wrong reasons. The finish line of the 155 kilometre trek from Oliveira do Bairro to Viseu was in sight  when Vicente de Mateus from Spain and Italy's Enrico Rossi collided near a roundabout, and both parties were pretty unhappy about it. 

As a result, a scrap broke out between the two, which caused a few other riders to run over and try to separate the brawling bikers. 

Something tells us these lads probably won't be switching the cycling for MMA any time soon...
