The population of Amity Island could have done with this woman a long time ago.

Veronica-Pooh Nash Poleate from Tennessee decided to share her thoughts and tips on staying safe during the summer (in particular going to the beach) following a shark attack in North Carolina. In the below video, Poleate lays out some 'common sense' for people who throw caution to the wind once the sun comes out and it is both instructive and hilarious.

Poleate's video was originally posted on Facebook and as of right now it's been watched 11 million times. That's a lot of people educated and a lot of lives saved.  Next thing you know she'll be nabbing herself a Nobel Prize.
