Sharks are amazing creatures, and this footage captured earlier this week showcases them in all their glory. 

The video was taken off the coast of Grand Isle, Louisiana, where this incredibly huge school of sharks (which has been estimated to be about the size of ten football fields) was heading back to the Gulf of Mexico after the winter. 

The Huffington Post caught up with George Burgess of the Florida Program for Shark Research, and even he was pretty shocked to see the sheer number of sharks all together at once: "Normally, we don't see sharks in schools. They're solitary animals. But often times they'll aggregate around a food source."

Well, that's Louisiana crossed off our list of places to go swimming this summer, so...
