As part of a Netflix Hack Day, a couple of engineers at the media streaming giant set about seeing if they could get Netflix to play on their old school Nintendo Entertainment System.

That's right kids, there used to be a gaming system where the controllers had wires and worked off cartridges, and the graphics harnessed all the power of 8-bit visuals. The NES was as good as it got back in the day, but Guy Cirino, Alex Wolfe, and Carenina Motion of Netflix managed to show that with a bit of ingenuity, they were able to make it even better and get it to play Netflix.

There were only a few different shows and movies to choose from in this rather more limited version of the streaming service, but the they were able to play the intro to House of Cards, in a tremendously subtle plug for the new series of Netflix's hit show.

The real question is can you still play Duck Hunt on that bad boy?
