The contact part of contact sports is the bit that is the most dangerous, obviously, but it also makes for some pretty amazing tackles and big hits that fans love to see.

We don't envy poor old Kyle Krisanski-Kennedy however, after he was on the receiving end of a monstrous tackle from John Wesley Tauti of the Vodafone Warriors in a National Ruby League Holden cup game, a youth tournament between teams from New Zealand and Australia.

Weighing in at 89kg, we have no desire to let Tauti ever try anything similar on us, which is why we hereby announce that we are retired from rugby league. Sad news, we know.

Krisanski-Kennedy doesn't look in great shape after the blow, but once he got his breath again and is helped back to his feet, he seemed to be alright.
