The new BBC series Spy in the Wild kicks off tonight, and it's set to fill the Planet Earth shaped hole left in your life. The series involves putting a hidden camera into a fake animal and using it to spy on what they get up to. The intention is to record real animal emotions and display their similarities with humans.

The show got more than they bargained for though when they hid their 'Spy Monkey' in a group of langurs, and soon they all got very attached to their new robotic friend. So much so, that when one accidentally drops it, they believe the robot monkey is dead, and the poor guys are pretty cut up about it.

They all gather around to comfort each other, giving each other hugs. Honestly, it's proper devastating, we're not able for it.

Spy in the Wild kicks off on BBC1 tonight (Thursday) at 8pm.
