It might be too early for a white Christmas, but the snow has already started falling in Donegal.

The weather experts have been predicting that we're going to get hit with a winter for the ages this year, but thankfully the weather hasn't been too bad (weather bombs aside) for the past few weeks. 

They predicted snow, and finally it seems the first significant snowfall of the season has landed, in Donegal. Letterkenny was hit by a flurry late last night/early this morning, which had a few people feeling festive.

According to the Irish Times, it appropriately fell on Sliabh Sneacht, but aside from hitting some higher ground, Met Éireann aren't predicting any significant snowfall over the next couple of days. Instead, they're promising cold, wet and damp weather. Great...
