A reporter for the SABC Vuyo Mvoko was mugged in front of rolling cameras as he prepared to broadcast a live news bulletin.

Mvoko appeared outside Milpark Hospital in Johannesburg as he was about to give a live update on the 7 o'clock news bulletin yesterday evening, when a number of men appeared and mugged him at gunpoint.

Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident, but Mvoko appeared on a alter news bulletin to discuss what happened and how the incident occurred. He stated that they robbed mobile phones from him and the others who were behind the camera, and that they had a gun that they threatened him and the crew with.

The perpetrators of the robbery did get away, but given how clearly they can be seen in the footage captured by the cameras, the police should have an easier job identifying them at least.
