Bonus fact. LaBeouf had just been released from jail right before the audition and that was where the pair met for the first time.
"I was just getting out of jail and you looked like Christmas," recalled the newlywed Shia. The pair were for some unexplained reason holding hands with each other and the two other guests on the show, Rachel Bloom and Cobie Smulders.
However as Shia went into more detail about that audition with Corden, the lights in the studio went out and LaBeouf seemed a little bit unnerved by the whole experience.
"Are we even on TV anymore?"
