He may be gone from Old Trafford but the shadow of David Moyes still looms large, it would seem. At Ryan Giggs' first press conference this morning as manager of Manchester United he was mistakenly introduced as 'David' by the Manchester United press officer, to the amusement of everyone in the room (but presumably not Mr Moyes himself).

Giggs, who was in remarkably jovial form throughout the confernce, joked that he'd used his new role to award himself a new five-year playing contract and also thanked David Moyes for giving him his first route into coaching. He went on to say that he would reclaim the famous attacking philosophy of Manchester United during his brief tenure which the club arguably lost under Moyes.

All eyes will be on the home match with Norwich on Saturday where we'll see Giggs stretch his managerial muscles for the first time and aim to end United's disastrous season on a high.
