Following Rory McIlroy's failure at the Cadillac Championship, the Northern Irish golfer hurled his Nike 3-iron into the nearby lake in an act not unlike Happy Gilmore.
Speaking after the event, McIlroy said that he left frustration get the better of him and that he didn't need the 3-iron for the rest of the round. Nice to be able to fire expensive golf clubs into bodies of water if you're having a bad game.
However, one golf fan simply couldn't let it stand and donned scuba-gear to retrieve McIlroy's club.
Arriving at the side of the lake, the fan dove into the waters and held the club aloft after a few minutes.
