It wasn't exactly the great escape but it was pretty good?

A new video has been released showcasing a daring prison break in Quebec from 2013. Two prisoners, Danny Provencal and Benjamin Hudon-Barbeau, can be seen in the video desperately trying to climb a rope dangling from a helicopter that landed on the roof of the prison.

Unfortunately for the pair, Hudon-Barbeau struggled to climb the rope and even at one point fell and had his groin thrust in Provencal's face.

Despite trying various tactics to get the two convicts on the roof, their accomplices decided to just take off with the pair dangling from the rope beneath them. The pair and their accomplices landed the helicopter once they were clear of the prison walls and made their getaway in a car from there. The escape plot was hatched via text messages on smuggled cellphones.

Provencal, Hudon-Barbeau and their accomplices were arrested just hours later.
