And not just where you live, but everywhere you frequent.

It's not new, but it still has people pretty scared seeing as the default setting is for your iPhone to record your location and store it until it can figure out where you are the most.

Important: there's a privacy setting on your iPhone that if not turned off, shows a map with dates and times of your frequent locations, including your home. I made a quick video showing what it shows and how to turn it off. It's frightening to think that someone with bad intentions could find your home and work, and know what times you are usually there. Shame on Apple. Feel free to share with friends.

Now we highly doubt that someone is going to steal your phone just to find out where you live (although we wouldn't put it past becoming a plot device in the new Scream TV series or the like), but the fact that technology actively logs your information without any input from you is slightly unnerving. If it bothers you that much you can just turn it off, but it's probably time to resign ourselves to being slaves to our new robot overlords soon anyway. At least we had a good run.
