Certain parts of Texas are being hit with flash-flooding and is cutting off sections of road and more besides in recent days.

KVUE, a local news station in the region, has been interviewing and following the story for quite some time and managed to speak to some of the people on the ground.

One of them was Kerry Packer, who was caught in a flood with his wife, Cecilia. The two of them sent some hastily captured footage to the local news station and, later that day, Kerry was interviewed by KVUE.

Watch the video to see what happens.

That's right, he was UP A TREE. AN ACTUAL TREE IN THE MIDDLE OF A FLOOD.

There really is something so comforting about people who can remain that calm in the middle of an extraordinary situation. "Oh yeah, I'm still here. Don't worry, I was in Boy Scout's so I know how to keep my energy levels up. I'm doing fine."

The lock of incredulity on the faces of the anchor's is also amazing and the "Oh, we'll pray for you" at the end. Like that's gonna help. No, we're not going to call Emergency Services and get you airlifted, we're gonna just pray.

That'll help. HE'S IN A TREE.
