Watch: MMA fighter breaks his own leg, but ref and his opponent aren't too quick to notice

Injuries are a part of sport, and unfortunately due to the nature of MMA, it tends to draw more of them than other sports.

The best thing you can hope for is the ref and your opponent to notice the injury and stop the fight before any more damage can be done. Ante Delija, who was fighting Marcin Tybura at M-1 Challenge 61 over the weekend, didn't get either of those things.

After having his kicked checked, a la Anderson Silva, Delija's leg snapped, but somehow nobody else in the ring noticed this as the fight continued. Seeing as you can hear the snap on the video, and see it give way underneath him, there's no excuse here.

There were no hard feelings though, as the fighters met up in hospital shortly after. As shocking as the injury is, and as bad as we feel for Delija, you have to admit that there's something comical about the fact his ring moniker is 'walking trouble'.
