We don't know what's eating Michael Bay up, but it must be something serious if it's enough to make him walk off stage at CES 2014.

The Transformers franchise director was all lined up to come out and speak about Samsung's latest TV product, presumably because Samsung paid a small fortune for his appearance and/or product placement in the upcoming fourth Transformers film, but when the teleprompter went down and left Bay with nothing to say, he simply excused himself and walked off. Yikes.

Ego or genuine anxiety over public speaking? One would think that a director of Bay's celebrity would be used to going onstage and speaking in front of hundreds of people, but here he clearly has no idea what to say once the lines aren't fed to him and looks quite panicked.

On the other hand, he does have a reputation for allegedly being quite egotistical, with Megan Fox once telling Wonderland magazine that he 'wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is. So he’s a nightmare to work for'. So who knows. It might just be the latest attempt at viral marketing by Samsung, in which case we've fallen for it hook, line and sinker.
