Although Jose Aldo has pulled out of UFC 189 with an injury to his rib, Conor McGregor will still be in action in Las Vegas on July 11th against Chad Mendes.
It's not the fight that was hoped for, but there is still an interim title on the line as he will go up against a man with whom he has a bit of history in Mendes. The two have not minced their words when they've spoken about each other in the past, and Mendes is clearly looking forward to the bout.
He's hoping to make a statement against McGregor and in the latest Countdown to UFC video, he outlines that Conor has made it personal, and he has been eagerly awaiting his chance to step into the octagon to do his best to shut the Irishman up.
