Just when you thought you'd never see Rustin Cohle again, Matthew McConaughey goes and revives him for a bizarre set of ads for cars.

But why would McConaughey revive a beloved one-shot character to sell Lincoln cars of all things? Maybe he's just really annoyed he lost that Emmy to Bryan Cranston, and wants to remind everyone just how damn good/weird he was. That and someone put sacks of cash in front of him we imagine.

Be warned, these make all the kinds of sense that perfume ads do.
