So this happened last night. Mathew Perry off Friends ranted about drugs on Newsnight, while Jeremy Paxman had his leg hoisted up in a nonchalant manner.
Perry's presence, though perplexing at first, is to be lauded as he's man enough to use his own addiction battles to highlight his belief that crimes committed by drug addicts should have separate court hearings - where the judges are former addicts. Bit idyllic, but a thought nonetheless.
The debate became heated thanks to the addition of a Daily Mail columnist by the name of Peter Hitchens (think of him as the male version of rentagob Katie Hopkins). Perry didn't exactly help his case by referring to Hitchens as 'Santa', but he presents a compelling case all the same. Observe.
