It's not every day you see a truck driving down a motorway with nobody at the wheel.

Yad Ali was driving down the Lahore-Islamabad motorway in Pakistan with his family when his children spotted a truck driving erratically behind them.

The truck smashed into the concrete buffers of the motorway, but was still moving.

The 22-wheeler then continued on, swerving in and out of lanes and gradually picking up speed.

The father pulled over and quickly realised that the truck had no driver and that it was going to cause a massive accident.

Despite the protests of his wife and children, Yad Ali ran after the truck and managed to bring the truck to a stop.

How did he do it? By driving the truck into another bollard. Did we mention the brakes had failed on the truck?

That's a big point. And probably why the original driver bailed.

Take a look at the video. Hats off to you, Yad Ali. You're a goddamn hero.
