Now that we've got the mandatories out of the way; this is the time of year that we all nestle down to watch Home Alone (especially the first one), and laugh at all the japes young 8-year-old Kevin McCallister gets himself into as he tries to fend for himself while trying to defend himself from two psychotic burglars. It's hilarious. But, now that Kevin's had time to think about it, the realisation of the situation he was put in has really hit home. It's hit home hard.
