It’s Groundhog Day everybody which means it’s time to bring out the groundhog, and the eponymous movie.
Among the many fans of the Bill Murray starrer is Lupita Nyong’o, Oscar winner for 12 Years a Slave and star of the new Black Panther movie (we’ll be interviewing her ourselves in the coming weeks for the superhero flick, so keep an eye on site).
The actress only discovered during a live interview with Jimmy Kimmel that Groundhog Day is an actual holiday. Kimmel then proceeded to explain the tradition behind the occasion after which Nyong’o talked about the African traditions she was raised with.
