He has a point, to be fair.

Jerry Seinfeld's awkward denial of Kesha's desire for a hug earlier this week became the talk of the internet (until Comey and the UK election melted everyone's heads) and last yesterday he addressed the debacle in an interview with Extra.

"When you get to be my age and you’ve done a couple things, you have your own reality," he said, "In my reality, I don’t hug a total stranger. I have to meet someone, say hello. I have to start somewhere."

"I’m 63. I don’t know every pop star, I don’t know everyone."

The awkward moment went down on the red carpet for a benefit event on Monday and while Seinfeld said he and Kesha had a laugh about it afterwards, saying "She was very nice about it."

But did she get her hug? No.

Ice. Cold.
