John Oliver keeps finding things to talk about on his show that are both funny and incredibly worrying.
John Oliver isn't doing anything particularly revolutionary on his TV show when he finds things to lampoon, from FIFA to the worrying situation in Ferguson a few months back. However, what he is doing is attacking subjects that are worthy of our attention and doing so with a real anger and vigour that makes what he's saying more than just a rant.
This week, he takes a look at "civil forfeiture", or in plain English, the fact that police in America can seize your property more or less whenever they want. As he explains, with the help of the brilliant Jeff Goldblum, this is essentially legal robbery, and you can't even call the cops about it.
