Tonight Conor McGregor answers the naysayers once again as he takes on top 5 ranked featherweight, Dustin Poirier at UFC 178 in Las Vegas.

While there was almost a scuffle at the weigh-ins yesterday (never a good time for dehydrated and hungry fighters cutting weight) the Irish fans traveled in force and turned a huge room in the MGM Grand Hotel, into a World Cup Qualifier at The Aviva Stadium. As fighter and commentator Dan Hardy said, "it's like St Patricks Day exploded in here."

Also, McGregor's coach John Kavanagh's t-shirt he'll be wearing cage side is all sorts of deadly. Absolutely love it.

The main card of UFC 178 starts at 3am on BT Sports this evening/Sunday morning. 3e will have a repeat on Monday evening also.

Irish fans really are something special.
