If you're trying to decide what's the safest method to smoke, you've got a problem.

The safest all of the options when it comes to smoking is to not do it at all. Seriously, if you're researching the health benefits of the different ways of smoking, you probably care enough about your health to not do it at all.

But we all know that's not really an option for people who crave nicotine and have no intention of quitting cold turkey, so the search for the lesser of multiple evils eventually leaves you with the option of smoking tobacco or using a vaporizer.

While we've heard plenty about the benefits of vaporizers, we don't know enough about what actually goes into them to prove if they're safer than simply smoking a fag. Sure they're cheaper, they might help to wean you off smoking altogether, and they don't make you inhale large volumes of smoke, but there's a bunch of chemicals in there that we don't know about.

That's not to suggest there's anything underhanded going on in vaporizers, it's just that we couldn't understand Junior Cert Science, never mind wrapping our heads around the contents of a e-cigarette.

Thankfully we don't have to because the clever folk over at AsapSCIENCE decided that they'd break it down for us using some simple language and colourful drawings, just to make sure it kept our attention. It did.

So it'd seem that despite the flaws that vaporizers could potentially have, they still seem like a better choice. Now, go spend the rest of the day being transfixed by all their other cool videos made AsapSCIENCE, you won't regret it.
