According to the website, there were over 100 million edits made to its many entries this year as news stories broke, we learned new things and our world changed around us. From the World Cup to the outbreak of Ebola, Wikipedia and its community had the answers, mainly thanks to the hours of editing that people put in to help make it the perhaps the most comprehensive encyclopedia that humanity has ever known.
