Helen Mirren is a legend. And don't just take our word for it (which we've expressed previously when she played the role of the Queen for a terminally ill boy) let her prove it herself.

Mirren sat down stateside for the press junket for Red 2, and when asked, because she's been such a strong female figure in the film industry, if she has any advice for the 'Lindsays and Amandas', Helen had this to say. In typical Mirren form, she doesn't mince her words.

Yes, the 'Queen' just told all of young Hollywood to stop being up their own arses. Can we get a hell yeah? And if that doesn't convince you of her royal awesomeness, here's herself talking to Caroline about Monsters University, being incredibly humble when talking about her legendary status as well as how nervous she was taking on the role of Her Majesty.

Mirren also continued her life's work of being amazing by appearing on Daybreak today and saying that she 'wouldn't contemplate' being the first female Doctor in Doctor Who but said that it's 'well over-time to have a female Doctor Who. I think a gay, black female Doctor Who would be the best of all.' Why? Because she's so sick of that man with his girl sidekick. I could name at least ten wonderful British actresses who would absolutely kill in that role.'

Just when we think we can't love her anymore, she's just makes it happen.
