It's all kicking off, and rightly so. We have Kelly Osbourne threatening to quit her job co-presenting Fashion Police alongside Rancic after the latter uttered less than PC comments regarding Zendaya's hair at The Oscars, which has sparked a public apology from the E! veteran.

Making reference to the 18-year-old's hair (overlooking the lovely Vivienne Westwood gown and the Chopard baubles) on The Oscar's Red Carpet last Sunday, the 40-year-old thought it fitting to say: "I feel like she smells like patchouli oil... or maybe weed."

Wow. I was going to say Rancic's hair probably smells like a permanently empty, newly bleached fridge, but that would be me making narrow minded and probably wildly inaccurate and grossly offensive assumptions.

Needless to say, the actress wasn't going to take this lying down.

By way of a pithy apology, Rancic tried to qualify her comments by saying they had nothing to do with race.

All those favouring a boho look smoke weed? Gis yer shovel there, missus, it's not getting you where you need to be regarding the perpetuation of stereotypes.

Because the tweet clearly didn't suffice, here is Rancic apologising on camera.

Meanwhile, over on Kelly Osbourne's twitter, she's not taking too kindly to people painting her with the same brush.

That's going to be a fun pre-show production meeting. YUO CAN TEL JSUT HOW ANGREE SHE IS!!! And I'm one to talk about spelling mistakes.
