And now, a life affirming story for you on this Tuesday afternoon. As per the Independent, Dublin footballer Paul Flynn took a few moments out of his post-game celebrations to make an already memorable day even more unforgettable for a young Dublin girl.

Amy McNally (11) from Raheny was in Croke Park on Sunday with her parents and her younger brother John to witness the Dubs claim their second title in three years. As the game finished and the Dublin players began to celebrate, Amy's dad Ciaran managed to get Flynn's attention and he came over to celebrate with Amy.

In an interview with independent.ie Ciaran said "He climbed under the netting behind the goal, gave her a big hug, let us take a picture of her with him, gave her his jersey and ran off."

Amy has undergone chemotherapy since the age of four for tumours behind her eyes which have left her visually impaired. Amy's dad again, "She has lost her eyesight over the years. She had two years clear of chemotherapy but then in August, we were told she had to go back on it which came as a big surprise."

Credit to Paul Flynn for taking the time out of celebrating with his team mates and giving Amy a day to remember.
