In a year when there were far too many bad news stories from the NFL, one story grabbed headlines for the right reasons.

Devon Still's daughter Leah was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, and after he was cut from the practice squad with Cincinnati Bengals, he was facing being hit with massive bills just to help to keep his daughter alive.

In a rare move, the team did the right thing and decided to keep him on so that he and his family would still have health insurance, and Leah's battle against cancer became one of the feel-good stories of the year after thousands of jerseys with Still's name on them were sold, and all the money went to a local children's hospital.

Last night at the ESPY awards, Still accepted the Jimmy V Perseverance Award and gave a moving speech about his daughter's battle, and there wasn't a dry eye in the house afterwards, in particular after Leah appeared on screen and sent a message to the crowd.
