In tribute to Robin Williams, the crowd at a Dublin screening of Dead Poets Society made this touching gesture.

Many people have been affected by the sad passing of Robin Williams earlier this week, and as a way of remembering the late actor and comedian, several of his movies will be screened in cinemas and public spaces all across the country, as people hope to pay their respects in some small way.

Last night, at a screening of Dead Poets Society, during the famous O Captain! My Captain! scene, the crowd themselves stood spontaneously as a tribute to Williams.

A lovely touch, and an emotional moment as the proceeds of the event, organised by Happenings of Dublin, all went to Pieta House.

If you feel, for any reason, that you need to talk to someone, then there are many organisations out there that do amazing work and are more than happy to listen. The folks at Pieta House, The Samaritans and Aware are just a few of them who you can contact.
