That's the wrestler question answered...

Conor McGregor and Chad Mendes faced off after Jose Aldo pulled out of UFC 189 due to injury, and was replaced with the tough All American wrestler. Many thought Mendes had the beating of McGregor, and they were just proved wrong.

With a few seconds to go in the second round, McGregor dropped Mendes - who he had hurt in the first round. Mendes was making it a difficult night for Conor, landing a lot of elbows with Conor on his back, but the Dubliner looked incredibly dangerous when they stood up and Mendes was finished with just a few seconds to the bell.

McGregor is now the UFC Featherweight Interim Champion. He will fight Jose Aldo for the unified belt in the coming months. If he wins, UFC President Dana White says his first defence will be in Croke Park.

Bring it on...
