Australian comedian Josh Thomas is one of the best young comedians out there, and he displayed exactly why his razor-sharp wit has gotten him so far last night.

For politician Bob Katter, last night's episode of Q&A on ABC was a pretty rough ride. The show was part of their ongoing mental health week, focusing on issues that affect everyone, and how they can get people to open up a bit more and talk about them.

When a young woman inthe crowd asked a question of Katter about his past offensive comments in relation to homosexuality, Josh Thomas allowed him to dig his own hole with an answer that totally avoided the question, before absolutely taking him to school.

Thomas' response was both hilarious (telling Katter that he could teach him all about Grindr) and touching, highlighting the statements he'd made previously that had been so hurtful to so many.
