'Meryl: The Lifetime Biopic' may be a fictional thing, but we really need it not to be.
Funny or Die's latest sketch stars everyone's favourite 'Married With Children' alum Christina Applegate as everyone's favourite actress full stop Meryl Streep, playing her part to do all the classic Streep roles (Kramer vs. Kramer, The Devil Wears Prada, Julie & Julia) as well as 'behind-the-scenes' drama in the life of the greatest living actress.
Obviously Meryl is too perfect to have actual drama in her life, so 'Lifetime' have had to make it up but if ever there was an actress capable of doing Meryl better than Meryl, it's Applegate. And bonus points for casting an actress that's almost identical to Streep's own daughter Mamie Gummer in this trailer.
Meryl may never be the subject of a biopic in our lifetime but if she is, it better be Applegate who plays her.
