Watch: Carmageddon is coming back, and it will be as gloriously gory as ever

If you can't remember the glory days of Carmageddon, then this video neatly sums up what the game was all about.

Essentially, if you thought GTA was bad for gratuitous violence, then clearly you'd never played Carmageddon, the object of which was to destroy, maim and kill as many living things as possible with all manner of ridiculous, hilarious contraptions on your car.

Thanks to a Kickstarter, the game is making a comeback under the title Carmageddon: Reincarnation after it raised over $625,000, well above its original goal. The game will be out April 23rd, and looks to have all the absolute nonsense that we loved from the original, including monster trucks that can defy gravity and cars with a working set of steel teeth on the front for maximum carnage.
