Only Bryan Cranston could be introduced as one of the most distinguished actors of his generation and then arrive on set dressed in the sort of Power Rangers costume usually reserved for birthday parties.
As the host remarked, Cranston has a very diverse roster of work which of course includes work voicing a number of the villains in the 90s TV series.
“When the show first came over to the States from Japan, they had needed to dub it in English,” he told Colbert, “and I played a lot of the monsters ’cause even at 23, I think when I did it, my voice was rather low.”
Of course Cranston is on the side of the angels in the movie reboot, playing Zordon, the Rangers' leader.
