Probably not what FIFA want to see with the World Cup around the corner.
Hundreds of thousands of fans will be heading off to the World Cup this summer in Brazil, but they will be hoping that they don’t see a repeat of this scene.
In this video of an amateur football match in Rio de Janeiro, which has gone viral since hitting YouTube yesterday, a bunch of gangsters celebrate a successful penalty by letting off several rounds from their guns into the air. The clip was apparently filmed at the semi-final of a tournament in the Vila Aliança community of Rio de Janeiro on 4th May, according to The Guardian.
Thankfully it looks like no one was hurt, but with plenty of protests on the horizon and security concerns already a big part of FIFA’s headaches in the build-up to the tournament, this won’t be good PR for Sepp Blatter and co.
