It really does say a lot about a Presidential candidate when his closest advisers don't trust him to have control of his own Twitter account in the final days running up to the election.

No matter how controversial, Donald Trump has never shied away from broadcasting his thoughts on social media. However, The New York Times reported that with mere days to go until the election, he had to surrender control of his account to his campaign team in a move that's widely believed to save the Republican nominee from damaging his own chances with a Twitter gaffe.

Barack Obama, who had been campaigning for Democratic nominee Hilary Clinton yesterday, obviously got word of this and, having been on the receiving end of Trump's Twitter trigger finger recently, decided to have most presidential of digs at Trump's expense.

"If somebody can't handle a Twitter account, they can't handle the nuclear codes."
