You have to feel bad for Karl Stefanovic. Even when he's trying to be serious and do actual news, he gets dragged into weirdness.
It's like he's flypaper for batsh*t or something.
Stefanovic was interviewing Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs Julie Bishop about serious topics and events taking place in parliament in the country when the interview turned to the outrage felt by the public over the Governor General's staff's request of $100,000 worth of appliances, including a $2,000 Thermomix. When he asked Bishop if she knew what a Thermomix was, she decided to reply 'in Emoji' and then made what we think was a surprised face but it could have been one of many really.
Just to reiterate, this woman is Australia's Minister for Foreign Affairs.
