Over the weekend, a single engine plane was forced to perform an emergency landing in New Jersey after its engines cut out, and with nowhere else to land, the craft headed for the motorway.

The Stafford Township Police Department released the footage last night showing the dramatic moment that the plane touches down on the Route 9/Route 72 overpass in New Jersey, narrowly avoiding a number of cars and eventually turning on to the median to avoid causing a crash.

Thankfully, no serious injuries or any crashes were caused, and the five people from the Skydive East Coast Sky Diving School on board the plane all walked away from the incident.
