Although the heatwave appears to have gone and we woke up to rain today, it won't dampen our spirits as the Vodafone Comedy Festival gets underway tonight. With a stellar line up of great national and international acts the Iveagh Gardens is where you want to be this weekend. Headliners this year inlcude John Bishop and Lee Mack, will be joined by Reggie Watts, Eugene Mirman, Michael Che, Reginald D Hunter and The Stars of Whose Line of it Anyway return with original member Greg Proops. Not forgetting the huge host of brilliant Irish comedians Tommy Tiernan, Dylan Moran, Maeve Higgins, PJ Gallagher, Jason Byrne, Fred Cooke, Bernard O’Shea, David O’Doherty, Ardal O’Hanlon, Eleanor Tiernan, Neil Delamere.

If, like me, you don't know where to even begin with who you want to see, here is a selection of just some of the talent that is on tonight...

Dylan Moran - The Big Red 7.30pm

Jason Byrne - The Big Red 9.30pm

Ardal O' Hanlon - The Cherry Top 7.30pm

David O' Doherty - The Comedy Hub 7.30pm

Reggie Watts - The Comedy Hub 9.30pm

The Savage Eye Stands up - The Jokeshop 7.30pm

Not only does the festival offer us great laughs, there is loads of other activities to keep you entertained with a gourmet bbq, live music and picnic spots. And if that all wasn't enough, make sure you check out the The Vodafone Nut Hut where free gigs will be taking place over the weekend.
