I bet you wonder sometimes, how did Victoria Beckham get to where she is now? Is it that she joined a girl band in the nineties, wore some extremely short skirts, 'fought' for girl power, became a money making puppet/machine for a music management company, married one of the world's most famous, and darn-right gorgeous, football players, hit the headlines for her outrageous wedding day, or constant posing in front of the worlds media lenses?
Mrs. Becks has finally broken her silence on what made her the empire that she is today and, in a way, is saying 'thank you'. Vicky has said that those kids that bullied her all those years ago in school have given her the determination and thick skin to make it as one of the world's most famous ladies. Now she intends to really make an even bigger name for herself in the fashion industry.
In an interview with Women's Wear Daily, she said "I was mentally and physically bullied when I was at school and that gave me a very thick skin... It's about doing things gradually and building the brand in a strategic way (so that's where I've been going wrong). I've got a long, long way to go and a lot of work to do... I plan on still being here in 25 to 30 years' time."
While being a victim of bullying can make or break a person, it's clear that there's always a light at the end of the tunnel. Should you want to set your sights on world domination... give yourself 40 or so years.
