George Clooney, Al Pacino and, eh, Madonna, are all showboating about Venice for the 38th annual film festival.

Clooney opened the festival last night with his fourth directorial foray, The Ideas of March Madonna, of course, will be peddling her film - which seems to be decades in the making - W.E. (that thing about Wallis Simpson). Roman Polanski's also got a film, but he can't make the festival for some reason or another...

According to Sky News, this year's jury will be directed "Darren Aronofsky, the two-time Golden Lion winner whose film Black Swan went on to Oscar success after opening in Venice last year", yaddah yaddah, blah - dresses!

We have Diane Kruger, Vittoria Puccini, Marisa Tomei, Evan Rachel Wood, Cindy Crawford,Bianca Brandolini D'Adda, and a load of other ladies who aren't as recogniseable.
