According to The Local, no one has stepped up to buy a house that's been on the market for over 1,000 days even though it's selling at the bargain price of around €42,000 and some think it could be because it's located in the village of Snorrslida, which translates to 'PenisVagina'.

The estate agent looking after the house disagrees and says that it's the bad condition of the house that's preventing its sale, but others disagree.
According to Swedish place name expert (yes that's a real job) Annette Torensjö, 'Snorr' was a common name in Viking times and 'lida' means 'hill' in ancient Norse so that's where the name stems from. It just so happens that in today's Sweden those words mean something very different.
Awful really. Just think, some day the town of Muff in Donegal could be known for something other than it's name.
