Google have stopped the Swedish Language Council from adding the word 'ungoogleable' to their list of new words. The term, which makes a lot of sense seeing as we all use Google these days, was defined as 'something that cannot be found in any search engine', and Google deemed that inappropriate, ideally wanting to be the only search engine the world uses one would imagine.

The Language Council of Sweden publish an annual list of new words and terms to to show how the times are a changin', but were stopped short when they received a legal warning from Google, asking for a disclaimer about Google's trademark and that they change the definition. ;I don't want to be influenced by a company, but this was the only way to solve the problem,' Ms Cederberg told the BBC. 'We could not go to court. The only way was to remove the word from the list and tell the world what happened.' Not very Big Brother-esque at all now is it...
